Robert Semple - President of the national convention

A Successful Conference

It was a great privilege for me to Chair this year’s Conference and thank you to all who helped make it so successful. We had more members attending than at any other time over the past decade. It wasn’t an easy start on Saturday but what struck me immediately was the real buzz amongst our members especially at our National Convention meeting on Sunday morning.  At that meeting, we were able to hear about all the good work going into our election campaign and I was able to update the meeting on my membership work (more about that in a later Blog).

During the following three days we successfully set out to the British people our hard work and achievements over the last five years while setting out our vision for the next five. The PM’s speech was the high point of this and has rightly received great reviews and positive feedback from the electorate.
